Welcome to the Block of the Month for 2010!
This year’s pattern will be a fun combination of appliqué and piecing. To start you out, here is a list of the materials you will need, along with information on the finished product. Instructions for the first block will be included in next month’s issue. Hopefully, this will be a fun & not-too-difficult project to work on throughout the year!
Quilt Information:
Block size 12-1/2" X 12-1/2"
Quilt size 56" X 60"
Fabrics
2-1/2 yards cream print for back-ground
1 yard red for roof and sashings
1 yard contrasting red for house and chimney
Scraps of greens, red, pink, yellow, blue, orange, etc for wreaths
Embroidery floss for seasons blocks. You can use black or seasonal colors of floss.
Note: This is a scrap quilt. You can make your houses any color that you would like they don't have to be red.
