UVQG Guild Meeting
Wed, Apr 17th, 1:30
Orem Senior Friendship Center
First off, let’s acknowledge the people that helped with our two big activities in March. Our thanks go to Wanda and her crew for putting together a wonderful Spring Retreat. The special touches take time to plan and we are grateful for all you do behind the scenes. And thank you to all who brought potluck dishes. Of course, it was extra special because of Sandy’s generous hospitality and beautiful home. Thanks again.
Secondly, we also want to recognize Sarah and her crew for all of their hard work putting together the always well organized and productive service day. It is such a blessing to be able to pool our collective time and talents to benefit so many groups in our community. Thank you Sarah, and thank you to her committee for all of your hard work throughout the year.
Looking forward, we have the amazingly talented Emily Taylor coming this month. Thank you Karin for organizing this and for holding a prep day at your home. One workshop is full and the other is nearly full, which we’re grateful for. If you can’t catch the workshop, don’t miss Emily’s trunk show during the guild meeting on April 17. You’ll be inspired by her beautiful work with collage quilts.

"I would recommend that you have people purchase the kit or pattern they need for the class through my website, and I've created a 20% off coupon code exclusively for your group. The code is: UVQG2024 and is available to use now through April 18th. The code is good on my books, patterns and kits.
I would prefer that people choose between some of my easier parchment pressing patterns, so that we are all working on the same type of pattern. Here is the list to select from: Roosters, Winter Cardinal, Garden Party, Sweet Summer, Pop Art Pups. I hope this gives you a sufficient variety for attendees to select from." Link to Pattern Website

Garage Sale Items Wanted!
Spring is almost here and it is time to do a bit of Spring Cleaning of your STASH. If you haven't used it in five years, please consider donating your fabrics or quilting notions to the Utah Valley Quilt Guild July Fair Garage Sale. It is our fun day of adventure and wonder, so donate your "stuff" to the Guild and lighten your load.
Pin a note saying how much you think it is worth, bring it to a Guild meeting for me to pick it up, or call me to get it from you. Or you can deliver it to my house. Thanks so much for your support of the Guild fund-raising event.
