Makers & Co

My name is Becky Snow, and this house has been in my family for generations. In 1908, my great-great aunt Lillian and her husband built this beautiful red-brick home. She was widowed shortly after and she carried on with ten children to raise. She was a mighty woman—resourceful, resilient, and endlessly creative. More than a homemaker, she became all the makers: baker, seamstress, gardener, quilter, fixer, teacher.
That spirit of making is what inspires this shop today. Makers & Co. is a place where the tradition of creating continues. Whether it’s fabric, thread, yarn, or gifts, each piece here is a reminder that we’re all makers in our own way.
Welcome to Aunt Lill’s home, now filled with treasures to spark your imagination and joy. Here, together, we carry on her legacy: to create, to share, and to make happiness

Harmony began as a dream and has stayed that way! As a young girl I learned to sew, knit, and crochet from my mother. These hobbies provided sanity and creative satisfaction during my busy years of raising eight children, and my passion for them has only become stronger. I love fabric and yarn, quilting, sewing and knitting, and especially sharing that love with others.
My daughter Rachel had an online gift shop for over 11 years and thought of putting her gifts in a brick and mortar shop . My husband and I had served as missionaries in Ghana, Madagascar and Uganda, and I had seen women in the marketplaces laughing and enjoying each other. The thought came to me: “they’re having more fun than we are!” I came home and said to Rachel, “let’s open a shop together!” We opened in 2012 and have never looked back.
We wanted to provide things we didn’t have access to ourselves. I specialize in quilting cottons but also have apparel fabrics. We have one-of-a-kind batiks and wax prints from Ghana, and hand-smocked, embroidered nightgowns made by my friends in Madagascar. We have a fondness for Kaffe Fassett and have lots of Cotton + Steel, organic cottons, and knits. We like to keep in touch with what’s new and irresistible!
Rachel’s gifts appeal to all ages--her handmade jewelry, buttons, trims, toys, stationery, candles, soaps and more are an ever-changing delight.
We offer classes from professional teachers. We feel Harmony all around us, and hope you will, too!
