The Sewing Basket
51 South 100 East, American Fork
We are The Sewing Basket located across the street from The American Fork Library in a Historic Home that has been lovingly restored to its original charm. We have been in business 2-1/2 years. Stop by and I will be happy to tell you the story of the house.
Our specialty is Customer Service. I want you to feel welcome and at home when you come by for a visit. We will go above and beyond to help you with anything you need help with. We are not afraid to take on hard projects or finish up those you started and need help to complete. We have a good variety of fabric and also offer vintage lace and a large selection of vintage buttons.
We have 3 Long Arm Quilters who do a fabulous job at a great price and have a 7-10 day turn around. In March, we are offering a Skill Builders Quilting class which will run for 6 weeks. Once the weather warms up, we will be having Come Sew in the Garden Days. Last year we did this, and it was a lot of fun--sewing in our yard with all our flowers in bloom. You just bring your project and machine, we provide everything else.
Watch our FB page Sewing Basket Utah or join our email to stay up to date on our upcoming events. Stop by and visit with us, we would love to meet you.

Paisley Patch Quilts
21 N Main St. Nephi, UT
Hrs: Sun-Mon Closed
315 E. Center St., Provo
Harmony began as a dream and has stayed that way! As a young girl I learned to sew, knit, and crochet from my mother. These hobbies provided sanity and creative satisfaction during my busy years of raising eight children, and my passion for them has only become stronger. I love fabric and yarn, quilting, sewing and knitting, and especially sharing that love with others.
My daughter Rachel had an online gift shop for over 11 years and thought of putting her gifts in a brick and mortar shop . My husband and I had served as missionaries in Ghana, Madagascar and Uganda, and I had seen women in the marketplaces laughing and enjoying each other. The thought came to me: “they’re having more fun than we are!” I came home and said to Rachel, “let’s open a shop together!” We opened in 2012 and have never looked back.
We wanted to provide things we didn’t have access to ourselves. I specialize in quilting cottons but also have apparel fabrics. We have one-of-a-kind batiks and wax prints from Ghana, and hand-smocked, embroidered nightgowns made by my friends in Madagascar. We have a fondness for Kaffe Fassett and have lots of Cotton + Steel, organic cottons, and knits. We like to keep in touch with what’s new and irresistible!
Rachel’s gifts appeal to all ages--her handmade jewelry, buttons, trims, toys, stationery, candles, soaps and more are an ever-changing delight.
We offer classes from professional teachers. We feel Harmony all around us, and hope you will, too!
